		<description>This is a great blog.  Trademarks are essentially the same thing as brands, but with more legal formality and protection around them.  Businesses should be thinking in these terms when assessing how they manage their trademarks. 

Marketing folks like me think a lot about protecting their clients&#039; brands, but we seldom ask about trademark status once we see that little TM icon next to something.  Perhaps we ought to begin all of our conversations with a question about the status of their trademarks before we begin to think about marketing campaigns!</description>

I have always wondered if there was any difference at all between the two... i guess having a patent is very important but the tradmark is on an equal level as its your way for the buyers to trust who are buying it!
